Late last year, I convened a group of leaders in the Nigerian tech industry to meet with the President of a U.S. university. The purpose was to discuss training Nigerians in high-growth areas to enable them to participate in the global economy.
Obi Asika and Uche Emembolu, both long friends of mine, were two of the dinner participants. They mentioned that they were planning a conference in Lagos, to be called “The Omniverse,” focusing on the digital economy in Africa, across several verticals: digital assets, AI, arts, and culture, among others. I was intrigued and asked them to keep me posted.
I am happy to report that The Omniverse is here and will be kicking off on February 26 at Landmark Centre in Lagos. The aim of the conference is to create a connected ecosystem where like-minded individuals can build value exchanges that enable all community partners. I am excited to participate, and I encourage everyone to check it out at www.theOmniverse.africa. Please feel free to attend if you can. You can expect the presentations, panels, and sessions to be very thought-stimulating and productive. Obi and Uche, I’ll see you very soon. I am in awe of the seemingly effortless way you have brought your vision to fruition. Kudos!
