Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Scale Technician role based in Charlotte, NC. The Scale Technician is responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing a variety of weighing equipment at customer locations and in the shop. Daily tasks include performing calibrations using certified test weights and test trucks, conducting routine inspections, documenting service work, and ensuring all equipment meets regulatory and industry standards. The role involves driving to customer sites, interacting professionally with clients, and coordinating with the service department to prioritize and complete work orders. The technician is expected to follow safety protocols, maintain tools and company vehicles, and support occasional after-hours or weekend service needs.
Qualifications

Technical and mechanical aptitude, including the ability to read schematics, use hand and power tools, and work with electro-mechanical equipment.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail in diagnostics, calibration, and repair tasks.
Basic electrical knowledge and comfort working with low-voltage systems and electronic components.
Customer service and communication skills to interact professionally with clients, explain findings, and complete clear service documentation.

Martin established Charlotte Scale with a vision and a commitment to quality that earned him not just customers, but lifelong friends. His legacy in the scale industry is marked by hard work, integrity, and the strong bonds he built with colleagues, clients, and the community alike.

Beyond his professional achievements, Martin was deeply involved in his community and known widely for his generosity, kindness, and unwavering support for those around him. Whether through charitable work, mentorship, or simply lending a helping hand, Martin’s impact extended far beyond business.

He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, employees, and all who had the pleasure of knowing him.

Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Scale Technician located in Charlotte, NC. The Scale Technician will be responsible for conducting scale repairs, installations, calibrations, and rentals. Daily tasks include troubleshooting technical issues, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring the proper functioning of scales and related equipment.

Qualifications
