This Week @ LOO // We're thrilled to participate in the inaugural session of CFLeads' Economic Mobility Action Network (EMAN)—a year-long cohort of community foundations dedicated to advancing economic mobility.

The national network launched today here in Charlotte, North Carolina!

Hello everyone, just wanted to share some pictures from our excursion to Outward Bound in the Linville Gorge, this past weekend. The American Leadership Forum, and the Lee Institute put this together for this incredible group of community leaders, to experience the wilderness challenge. What a great weekend. We made it up Table Rock, Wow!!!

Hello everyone, yesterday, I attended a gathering of visitors to the International House, as they hosted a group of advocates from Indonesia, who are part of a program, funded by the State Department to bring visitors here to learn and share ways to create change in systems.

It was a great gathering of like-minded folks.

Hello everyone, today started our third Trust-Based Philanthropy cohort. Thanks to the support from the Foundation for the Carolinas, we have a great group of folks including; Tracy Russ, Jessica Moreno, Deepa Naik, Sam Smith, Deborah Majewski, Tiffany Fant, and so many more. Thanks to Erin Barbee, for kicking us off, Erin was in TBP Cohort 2, she did a wonderful job of setting a pace for the conversation. So many powerful people in the room.

Hello everyone, hope that you are well. Just wanted to share this with you. Yesterday, attended an conversation, along with my friend, Judith Elise Brown, executive director of Project70Forward, we talk to a "international delegation" of advocates from around the world. The subject; "Human and Civil Rights for Marginalized Communities"....Next, the Stan Greenspon Holocaust and Social Justice Education center, had it's "Cultivating Conversation", with supporters and potential funders, about the "Social Justice and Community Organizing" program for local advocates. Then today, I went with Judith Elise Brown, and her husband, Chuck to Salisbury to share resources, and be apart of a "black voters" awareness campaign.
