This past weekend was a whirlwind in the best possible way. 🌪️

✨ delivered keynote talks to over 4,000 people
✨ wrote the manuscript for my book
✨ bought my dream car
✨ published a planner

All while…

😣 going through infertility
😣 losing people I loved
😣 grieving 3 pregnancy losses
😣 ending friendships
😣 getting rejected left and right
😣 failing epically at things I thought would be a huge success
😣 feeling the least confident I ever have

And STILL finding time to:

❤️ prioritize quality time with my little girl
❤️ have dinner on the table every weeknight
❤️ vacation with my family
❤️ have date nights with the hubs

I relentlessly created, tested, and re-designed systems to help me reach my goals in record time - without hustling to make it happen.

What is something you've desired in your life?

I mean really, truly desired - something you wanted more than anything.

A new car. A new house. A relationship. A solution to a problem you faced.

I'm going to guess that you thought about it often.

Just because your offer isn’t converting the way you planned, doesn’t mean it’s a bad offer.

It doesn’t mean something is wrong with you…

or that you’re not not good at what you do…

or that you won’t make the money you want to make.

None of that is actually true.

Chances are, if your offer isn’t converting, there’s just a kink in the hose.

And when there’s a kink, you don’t throw out the whole hose and buy a new one, right?

You just look for where it’s a little tangled and slowly work to unravel the problem.

Here’s a few ‘kinks’ that you might want to explore if your offer isn’t producing the results you planned for:

1️⃣ When you read through your copy, ask yourself, “how can I make this more clear for my client?”

2️⃣ Are you using generic language in your copy or are you speaking directly to the thoughts, feelings and challenges your client is experiencing? (Instead of saying ‘overwhelmed,’ try describing exactly what they’re thinking in a moment of overwhelm)

3️⃣ Do you actually believe whole-heartedly in what your selling? Or, is your belief a little lackluster? If you lack belief, so will your future client.

4️⃣ Have you created desire before making the offer?

5️⃣ Have you actually made the offer in multiple places, multiple times in multiple ways?

Be honest with yourself as you answer these questions.

The answers will point you to kink. From there, all you need to do is untangle it until things pour out more freely.

Building a business is a lot like building a house. 🏡

You need a clear set of blueprints.

A rock solid foundation.

Sturdy walls to keep it all together.

Much like a new home, a business is built the same way.

But, as time goes on, things begin to change.

Parts settle. Corners begin to creak. Dust begins to form. The things you once adored go out of style.

What happens then?

Just as you would maintain and refresh your home, you must maintain and refresh your business.

You do a deep clean of the things that feel cluttered.

You remodel the areas that no longer serve your needs.

You reinforce the structures that have loosened over time.

I was outside catching up with my neighbor yesterday when her 11-year old daughter asked me this question…

‘Ms. Stephanie. What do you do for work?’

Immediately my brain wanted to tell her all the things until I heard a little voice remind me…she’s 11.

Before I could respond, her mom chimed in to her daughter.

Mom: ‘So, you know how some people have their own businesses?


Daughter: ‘Yes.’

Mom: ‘Well, Ms. Stephanie is a coach. And she helps those people make money and then be able to enjoy time like this with their kids outside after they work.’

Daughter: ‘Oh that’s so cool!’

That was it. Then she ran off and played.

I sat there a little dumbfounded but so proud in that moment.

The way she described my business to an 11-year-old was the most simple and most profound way I’ve ever heard someone talk about my work.

It’s exactly what I do.

I teach people how to make money online without the overwhelm…

…without working countless hours a day.

…without missing their kids dance recitals.

…without constantly feeling like their to-do list runs their life.

Money is rarely ever the reason people don’t buy.

It’s just a cover-up for people’s thoughts about your offer.

Hear me when I say this: Your ideal client will buy from you ONLY if 3 things are true about your offer:

1️⃣ It’s clear.

2️⃣ It’s compelling.

3️⃣ It’s simple.

Getting a ‘no’ from a prospective client is never about money.

It is ALWAYS about how they perceive your offer in exchange for that money.

The next time someone isn’t ready to buy your offer, spend some time thinking about these questions to help you refine.

CLEAR:
- How can I explain this offer more clearly than I already have?
- At what point might a potential client feel unclear about what I’m saying?

COMPELLING:
- What new/different story can I share to make my experience relatable?
- Why is this offer irresistable and different than anything else like it?

SIMPLE:
- How can I explain my process in 3 steps or less?
- What is the #1 thing a potential client would need to know in order to be a total and complete yes?

There’s ALWAYS room for improvement no matter what stage of your business you are at.

How many times have you said this (or something similar)?

If I can just do X, then I’ll be able to do Y.

Only, Y never comes.

The things you’ve been meaning to get to never happen.

I’m totally guilty of this, too. 🙋🏻‍♀️

My go-to used to be: “If I can just get through this really busy week, then I’ll take care of Y…”

Except 6 months had gone by and I was in the exact same place.

I had to coach my brain really hard for 2 months straight to form new habits.

I had to get super uncomfortable with saying no.

I had re-prioritizing the things that would move business forward every single day over and over again.

I had to set (and stick to) new boundaries for myself.

It was hard work but man, was it worth it.

In 2 months, I tackled everything I had put off for the past 6 months.

+ I invested over $25,000 in myself.
+ I signed 4 new clients.
+ I got all of my finances in order.
+ I automated all my client emails.
+ I finally put systems into place.
+ I wrote better content.
+ I started work on my new offer.
+ I had more time with my family.

…the list goes on.

There became no more ‘if I could just…’

Coaching is THAT powerful. I never knew I had access to my brain in this way by just making a few small shifts.
