This 14'8" Kleemann MR 130 impact crusher required a certified high pole es**rt to safely travel across Charlotte.

Our driver, Michael, handled the es**rt while our dispatch team coordinated the move behind the scenes to keep everything running efficiently.

When your oversized load needs experienced coordination, My PEVO is ready to help.

Things we learned about Lara...

🎨 She creates sculptures out of wood, plastic, and metal.

πŸ₯‹ She's tried Muay Thai, Karate, Kung Fu, and Taekwondo... but says tennis just wasn't her sport.

πŸŽ₯ She loves photography because it lets her "stop time" and hold onto moments.

🧠 When you tell her a story, her brain automatically turns it into a cartoon.

πŸ‘• She can somehow turn ugly clothes into stylish outfits.

πŸ’‡β€β™€οΈ She refuses to pay for hair salons because she's convinced she does a better job herself.

😹 Her cat, Antar, and dog, Doom, have formed a daily crime ring where the cat knocks food onto the floor and the dog takes care of the evidence.

πŸͺ‚ She's currently taking skydiving lessons and hopes to one day skydive over the Seven Wonders of the World.

Oh... and somewhere between all of that, she also helps dispatch oversized loads here at My PEVO.

We'd call that range.

Welcome to the first edition of "Faces of My PEVO".

Faces of My PEVO

There are people who answer the phone.

Then there are people who answer the phone while simultaneously keeping several oversized loads moving across the country, reassuring clients, coordinating es**rts, and making it all sound suspiciously easy.

Lara belongs firmly to the second category.

This is, perhaps, less surprising when you discover that outside of work she creates sculptures, practices special effects makeup, photographs the world as though she's trying to collect moments before they escape, and has decided that jumping out of perfectly functional airplanes is a reasonable hobby.

She also lives with her cat, Antar, and her dog, Doom, who have apparently formed a criminal partnership centered around stealing dinner. The cat plans. The dog executes. Nature is full of specialization.

The interesting thing about dispatchers is that people tend to imagine they're sitting quietly behind a computer. In reality, they're conducting a small orchestra in which everyone is playing a different piece of music while insisting they're following the same sheet.

Lara somehow enjoys this.

If you happen to call My PEVO and notice the cheerful voice on the other end, that's not an act.

As Lara put it herself:

"I always have a smile on my face while talking to them."

I can't believe we're 250 years old, or are we 250 years young? I really hope it's the latter. Either way, what an incredible milestone.

The freedom that comes with being an American and living in this beautiful country is not something I've ever wanted to take for granted. I often find myself thinking, "What if I had been born somewhere else?" It's quite humbling to realize that none of us gets to choose where we're born. We're all ultimately in the hands of our Creator, and whenever that thought crosses my mind, I'm reminded to thank Him.

A lot of people my age say the American Dream is dead. My husband and I don't believe that for a second.

We both came from simple backgrounds, built a business from the ground up, and today we're blessed to support ourselves and our families through it. Many of our family members, on both sides, have been part of this journey with us, and some still are. We're incredibly grateful for that.

To me, that's the American Dream.

At the same time, I know I'm simply a steward of these blessings, not their owner.

I want to thank you for the trust you've placed in us, which has contributed to this dream. It's not something I take lightly. It is truly an honor to serve you.

Whether you're spending the Fourth with family, enjoying burgers and hot dogs, watching fireworks (please watch your fingers!), or working (some of us will be doing all four, lol), I hope you have a safe, joyful, and meaningful Independence Day.

Happy 250th Birthday, America!

Warmly,

Allegra

Not your average water truck. πŸ˜ŽπŸ’¦

This week, our team helped es**rt a massive off-road water wagon from Concord, NC to Gold Hill, NC. The load measured an impressive 16 feet wide, 15 feet 6 inches tall, 85 feet long, and weighed nearly 150,000 pounds. Because of its size, the move required both front and rear es**rts, with the front es**rt carrying a height pole to help identify potential overhead clearance issues along the route.

Most people see a giant tank on wheels. In reality, these machines play a critical role in keeping large construction sites, quarries, and mining operations running safely.

A few cool facts about water wagons:

πŸ’§ A single water wagon can carry thousands of gallons of water.

πŸ’§ They're used primarily for dust suppression, helping improve air quality and visibility on job sites.

πŸ’§ Dust control isn't just about cleanliness, it's a major safety requirement in many industrial operations.

πŸ’§ The tires alone can be taller than many adults.

πŸ’§ Fully loaded, some water wagons can weigh several hundred thousand pounds when operating off-road.

At 15'6" tall, this move wasn't just about width and weight. Every bridge, utility line, signal, and overhead obstruction had to be considered before the first wheel started turning.

Another safe move in the books.

Heavy haul crews! Don’t get caught off guard this weekend!

We just released our 2026 Memorial Day Oversize Load Restriction Guide covering travel restrictions across the U.S. so carriers, dispatchers, and drivers can plan ahead BEFORE delays happen.
