The Top Issues outline the Forum’s priorities for what should be at the forefront of education policy decision-making in the coming legislative biennium. Join CREED on April 25 for their fifth annual Summit in Charlotte.

Under the theme Sankofa: Looking Back to the Future, CREED is honoring the legacy of educators of color from the past while harnessing the power of today to envision a bold new vision for tomorrow. The lessons of the past not only sustain us, they guide us.

The 2026 Summit includes a culture-rich, jam-packed day. There will be a selection of panels and breakout sessions to help us boldly show up for our students and ourselves in these times. CREED's annual Research Symposium and Educators of the Year Awards are also on the agenda.

Join the 10th annual Let's Talk Racism Conference March 21st!

This annual conference gives K-12 educators and pre-service teachers an opportunity to engage in sessions centered on building liberatory and culturally-affirming learning spaces that dismantle systemic racism in schools and beyond. CEU certificates will be provided for participating educators.

This year is Curating Change: The Art of Activism in Education. This event will occur Saturday, March 21st from 9:00am - 4:00pm , in Durham at North Carolina Central University.
