PHT International is pleased to welcome Luca Leone as our new European Business Development Director.

Based in Rome, Italy, Luca brings more than 15 years of international commercial and business development experience across the CDMO, CRO, life sciences, and biotechnology industries. He has extensive experience in small-molecule development and manufacturing services, including custom synthesis, process development, API development, technology transfer, scale-up, and commercial manufacturing.

Throughout his career, Luca has held senior commercial and leadership positions with organizations including Lonza, Syngene International, Aptuit, and Charles River Laboratories. Most recently, he served as CEO of Accelera, where he held full P&L responsibility and led commercial and operational transformation.

In his new role, Luca will work closely with PHT President Alex Del Priore and PHT's global Commercial, R&D, and Operations teams to strengthen our presence in Europe, develop new pharmaceutical and biotechnology partnerships, and expand relationships with existing and strategic customers.

A New Milestone for PHT International

We are excited to announce that PHT International's Shangyu (SY) Kilo Lab has successfully passed the government safety production acceptance inspection and officially began operations on July 18, 2026.

This marks another significant investment in expanding PHT's pharmaceutical CDMO capabilities. Our new Kilo Lab serves as the critical link between laboratory research and commercial manufacturing, providing enhanced support for process development, process optimization, scale-up, and technology transfer.

Designed to meet the evolving needs of innovative pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies, the facility enables us to help customers accelerate development timelines while maintaining the highest standards of safety, quality, and operational excellence.

This achievement is the result of the outstanding collaboration and dedication of our Engineering, Operations, Process Development, R&D, Quality, EHS, Supply Chain, Finance, HR, IT, and many other supporting teams. Thank you to everyone who played a role in bringing this project to life!
