Business operations consulting is just a fancy way of saying I help teams get organized so the day-to-day isn’t a mess.

If your org is always scrambling, here are 3 things to look at:
1️⃣Are your processes written down, or does everyone just “know what to do”?
2️⃣Is it clear who handles what, or are folks guessing?
3️⃣Are your tools working for you—or just giving you more tabs?

Operations is about making your work easier, not more complicated.

Start simple: Write down one thing your team does often—like onboarding a new client, sending a report, or posting on social. Share it with your team.

I’m usually the one behind the computer screen supporting mission-driven leaders, building systems, and helping everything run smoothly in the background. So hopping on a plane to Phoenix, AZ and attending V-WISE in person this year was definitely outside my comfort zone… but I’m so glad I went.

For years, I’ve supported one of the keynote speakers behind the scenes (the incomparable Isisara Bey), and this time I finally got to be in the room taking in all the energy, knowledge, and stories from women in business with military ties.

For me, this wasn’t just a business conference. It was a chance to reflect, and push myself to be a little more visible.

Once I've had a chance to fully decompress from all I learned, I'll share some of those little nuggets with you. Who knew that 3 days of interacting face-to-face with folks would take me almost a whole week to recover 😆!

Grateful for the wisdom, the women, and the chance to show up fully...in person.

The key to sustainable growth is strong systems and efficient processes!

The BIPOC leaders I support are driving powerful social impact—but strong operations are what sustain and scale that impact.

This week, focus on one small process you can streamline—whether it’s documenting workflows, improving team communication, or automating tasks.

For me, this week’s focus is documenting my workflows. Right now, I have everything laid out in a Google Doc SOP Manual, but it’s time to migrate everything to ClickUp. 🛠️

ClickUp is our home base for operations. My team and I start and end our day here—collaborating on tasks, tracking progress, and keeping everything organized. As I prepare my business for potential team growth, it’s time to move my SOPs over and turn my screenshot tutorials into video training for my firm.
