Art Beyond joined Art Walks collaboration with BRAVO Youth, spoken word artist Annie Burris and Elizabeth Palmisano for Art is for Everyone. It was a beautiful reminder of why accessible, inclusive art experiences matter. 🎨

We walked together through public art spaces, reflecting, learning, and connecting over art. Some of our Teaching Artists came along to observe and support, and we all walked away with fresh perspectives.💡

This event was mic’d up to enhance accessibility using descriptive wording. Disability Rights and Resources provided audio descriptions. It added a whole new layer, and reminded us that accessibility is so important in your creative passions.

✨ Another amazing week with our CTA crew!

The other week, we met at one of our awesome community partner, We Rock, and had the pleasure of learning from guest facilitator Krystle Baller.🎤

We explored teaching styles, finding your flow in facilitation, and how to keep things engaging and student-centered. We broke into groups to create stop-motion videos 🎬 focusing on communication & collaboration. Our Cohort loved this hands-on, interactive experience!

💡A couple days later, we kept the energy going in our virtual class 💻 with Krystle back again to guide us through a conversation on authenticity in teaching.

We are thrilled to introduce the 10 incredible artists selected for the Art Beyond Certified Teaching Artist Program! With 60 applicants, the selection process was incredibly tough, and these individuals stood out for their passion, creativity, and dedication to arts education.💡

Over the next 10 weeks, they will embark on a transformative journey—learning best practices in community engagement, refining their creative offerings, and growing as both artists and educators. 🖍️🤝 Through hands-on training, mentorship, and collaboration, they’ll gain the confidence and tools needed to bring their artistic vision into the classroom and beyond. 🚀

Upon completion of the program, participants will receive their Certified Teaching Artist Certificate from Art Beyond🎓🏆—equipping them with the skills to inspire our community through the power of art. 🎨💫

We can't wait to see their progress and support them in achieving their teaching dreams! 🌱✨ Stay tuned as we follow their journey and celebrate their growth! 🙌

Two years ago I decided to take my dream of developing a Certified Teaching Artist program and put pen to paper. I wished to take my 20 years of experience in curriculum development and teaching artistry and share my joy of teaching with fellow artists.

And I am over the moon to announce that thanks to the Opportunity Fund, , and supportive community partners, we are officially launching the Art Beyond Certified Teaching Artist Training!!

Recognizing the incredible talent within our creative community, the Art Beyond CTA program is designed to help teaching artists—both aspiring and experienced—build confidence, develop their practice, and connect with opportunities to share their passion.

I am deeply grateful to have the honor of empowering creatives to share their skills and inspire others through the arts.

The first CTA event was a success! 🎉 It is an extraordinary group—joyful, inspiring, and deeply connected. 💖When it was time to leave, no one wanted to go! Over the course of the day, we focused on outlining the program and setting both individual and collective goals for the group. 🚀🎯

Excited to see what this inspiring group accomplishes in the weeks ahead! Their energy and passion are truly something special, and I have no doubt they’ll achieve amazing things together.👏
