Let’s get real and discuss self-worth.
One of the hardest things to recognize is that sometimes you’re sitting at someone else’s table.💯💯💯💯💯💯💯
You’re helping build their vision.
✅Their goals.
✅Their company.
✅Their success.
And there’s nothing wrong with that.
But there comes a point where you have to ask yourself what it’s costing you……..
I’ve gone through life walking away from situations that were designed to choke me.
👉🏻Sometimes literally.
👉🏻Sometimes figuratively.
The one thing I know for sure is this:
There is always another opportunity.
No role should be taken so seriously that it costs you your health, your peace, your relationships, or your sense of self.
My current role has put me in the hospital three times. It doesn’t offer benefits, yet I now have significant medical debt to navigate.
And still, I show up.
I do my job.
I support my team because they deserve leadership, consistency, and someone who believes in them.
I am grateful for them.
I am grateful to watch them grow.
But lately I’ve had to acknowledge a difficult truth:
Killing myself to grow someone else’s company isn’t growth.
Growth is recognizing when you’ve learned what you needed to learn.
Growth is understanding that your value isn’t determined by your title.
Growth is realizing that loyalty should never require self-destruction.
💡The dreamer is still here.💡
The difference is that she’s becoming a lot less willing to ask other people for permission to believe in herself.💯
And maybe that’s what self-worth really is.
Knowing when it’s time to stop proving your value and start honoring it.💣
