if it’s Sunday -and the heat index is approx the same temp as the oven cooking salmon for dinner- it must be time for a little bit of indoor airconned furniture rearranging (it is a virtual compulsion among the brethren I guess IYKYK it). this is the (so-called) *fanciest* living room in our house and it is sadly overlooked except at Christmas and it’s basically ALWAYS in need of an overhaul: anyway, my long suffering love of a husband helped me do a pillow mixup and furniture moving session and I think it looks … friendlier

we’ve got four fireplaces in this old house & they’re never more lovely than at Christmas. i remake all of them every year (not that I don’t use mostly the same decorations year after year - i do!- I just mix them up a bit). This one’s inspired by the vaguely middle eastern townscape of the vintage artwork; it reminds me of the nativity story and also it’s so delightfully pink.

Another day, another handmade wreath. We used dead vines from the back garden + dried botanicals left over from projects past+ fresh ferns + felted balls + stargazer lights to bring a little wonder to the kitchen fireplace

we’re loving this new pool bath just completed in phase one of a major reno we’re doing for an amazing charlotte family. those opal zellige tiles are so painterly, and juxtapose well alongside the very tidy Renaissance Tile & Bath] Hudson white marble on the floors and shower walls.
