The small moments define the culture that matters.

We recently placed a senior finance leader in an interim role with one of our clients, a U.S.-based middle market company that treats collaboration and connection as non-negotiables, not nice-to-haves.

When the engagement began, the CFO didn't just onboard our interim leader. He announced it formally and shared the interim leader's bio with the organization, just as he would for any full-time hire.

The senior leadership team, including the President, sent personal notes of welcome. The President took a moment to thank our interim leader, a United States Navy veteran, for his service to our country.

🇺🇸 July has arrived and Americans are shifting into a celebratory mood as the Independence Day holiday is upon us.

We love America's creativity in celebrating this important holiday. Our co-founders filmed this video over the weekend on Daniel Island in Charleston, SC, where 1,000 American flags are flying as part of the Daniel Island Exchange Club's Field of Honor. Now in its 11th year, it's one of thousands of tributes, gatherings, and traditions happening across America right now.

Did you know?

As Team Croixstone continues to celebrate our 10th business anniversary this month, did you know that we launched our firm in a historic building known for entrepreneurialism and innovation?

In 1913, Philip L. Lance, a Charlotte food broker, got stuck with 500 pounds of raw peanuts. So what does one do with an unexpected 500 lb. trove of raw peanuts? If you are an innovator like Lance, you get creative.

Lance took a common Southern agricultural product, the peanut, and figured out a path to build an incredibly successful business centered on the peanut butter sandwich (peanut butter used as a filler between soda crackers).

We launched our firm in 2016 in the Lance Building (known as the historic Lance Cracker Factory) that was built in 1920 in Charlotte's South End district. As a nod to Philip Lance and his legacy, during our first year of operation we gifted Croixstone guests with a handful of the famous (and tasty) Lance ToastChee cracker.

Three of our senior leaders, Grace Lynch, Patti Weber, and Mark Weber are long-term advocates for creating awareness, fueling research dollars, and driving better outcomes for those diagnosed with pancreatic cancer.

The trio are co-founders of the Charlotte Pancreatic Cancer Alliance - a nonprofit community group and a member of the World Pancreatic Cancer Coalition (WPCC). They participated in yesterday's virtual Global Member Meeting of the WPCC where pancreatic cancer experts, innovators and leaders from across the world gathered to learn more about what is being called a genuinely extraordinary moment in time for pancreatic cancer research.
