Our small but mighty team believes fiercely in communicating - either visually or verbally - in simple, powerful ways that bring joy.

When we were given the task of titling a magazine for a client that was packed with stories, traditions + ideas all revolving the month of December, two words were top of mind for both of us.

Our words for this holiday season are joy + simplicity. We think those words can mean a lot of different things to all kinds of different people. What do they mean to you??

Hiya - it’s us! Meg + Julia. If you only know us on Instagram, you might have thought we disappeared for a hot second. But, alas, we're here...now. It’s been a wild summer full of projects + overseas adventures.

If you didn’t catch the news, we’ve been working w/ to showcase their work in CLT and nationwide. It’s been a creative collaboration we’re proud of - and, to boot, we built a magazine unique to them around summer food and drink which they distributed to hundreds of partners across the country.
•
Meg’s been busy traveling all over Ireland, bringing on a full-time Director of Ops (world, meet ), and continuing to help her clients take over the world.
•
Julia’s been 100 ft under the water scuba diving and befriending dolphins. In between that, she’s also been hiring + photographing people and brands of all kinds.
•
Toth + Fay is refreshed, still a little tan (more so Julia than Meg), and excited to be home in Charlotte - until the net trip. What will we be up to next? Stay tuned.

Slow your scroll, here’s a pro tip for ya 👉🏽 Find a business friend in a different industry than you. That business friend should share a similar asethetic and need for behind-the-scenes footage and photos, so that you two can help to take each other's photos for all your social media marketing needs. You can post up in a coffee shop together and not feel as alone in the creative process. (Plus, you'll feel less trying to take all your own photos and feeling like everyone else is judging you.)

Hi, it’s me, Meg, 👋, and I popping into IG this Monday morning to remind you of something super special - you and your story.
👇🏽
A lot of times we try to hide or cover-up or edit the dickens out of our story because we don’t think it sounds good or we don’t sound smart or cool or popular. So we create or doll up a story. We filter those pictures one more time; we take out the parts of our stories that we think people won’t understand.

The truth is this - you can only keep up that story charade for so long. It will get emotionally exhausting to keep up that front.

So, tell your story; YOUR story. Is starting this business the hardest thing you’ve done? Say that. Did you have to pause a dream to pay the bills? Say that. Did you pick up the skill or talent you now use in your business by watching YouTube clips every night for a year and working your tail off? Say that.

The idea is that you must write your story because that’s where and how people will connect with you. The more real you are, the faster they’ll feel the spark.

And the goal is for them to feel that spark instantly. That spark can only happen through your story.

Hey HEY! It’s Julia here. A question we get often is : “What kind if businesses do you work with?” And that’s a fabulous question that I’ll tackle right now from the photography side.

With Toth + Fay being born just under a year ago, we’ve been in a state of discovery of “who ARE OUR people?” And while I serve and capture all sorts of different companies and industries inside of 📍CLT, there’s definitely a common factor.

The brands and humans stepping in front of the 📸 care more about being real, genuine, and cutting edge - than they do about being pretty, just like the rest, and safe.
