🏆 We're proud to share that Albemarle has received the Technological Contribution Award from the Asociación de Industriales de Antofagasta (AIA) for our Direct Lithium Extraction (DLE) technology program. 🎉

After more than a decade of research and development, our team in Chile successfully validated a DLE technology tailored to the Salar de Atacama. At our La Negra pilot plant, the technology achieved lithium recovery rates above 94% while delivering important advances in water and energy efficiency.

Thank you to the AIA for this recognition, and congrats to the talented teams whose hard work made this milestone possible. 👏

We are excited that Ragnar "Rag" Udd has been named Albemarle’s next President and CEO, effective February 1, 2027. Rag is currently serving as Chief Commercial Officer at BHP and brings extensive commercial and operational expertise in natural resources.

Rag will succeed Kent Masters, who has served as Chairman and CEO since 2020 and will transition to the role of Executive Chairman of the Board once Rag joins Albemarle. Under Kent’s leadership, Albemarle has successfully executed a significant transformation across our portfolio and operations, and as a result, we are implementing this leadership transition from a position of strength.

What happens when curiosity meets opportunity? Future scientists are inspired. ✨

For the fourth consecutive year, the Albemarle Foundation partnered with Project Scientist, a nonprofit dedicated to empowering girls through STEM education, supporting year-round STEM programming at Magnolia and Kings Mountain schools.

Recently, students took part in Project Scientist's Summer Innovation Lab: Chemistry of Change! During visits to our Charlotte and Kings Mountain locations, they connected with employee STEM Superstars, explored chemistry and geochemistry through hands-on experiments, and toured the Kings Mountain Mine site.

From learning how AI can help people to investigating pH, acids and bases, and the importance of clean water, students built STEM skills while growing their curiosity, confidence and problem-solving abilities. 🔬 🧪

Albemarle is proud to support the initiative by donating safety equipment and a training mannequin for hands-on learning and workplace simulations. Through this partnership, we're helping introduce students to careers in chemistry, engineering and advanced manufacturing while expanding access to STEM education across the region.
