Scope of Homelessness Nationwide

"On a single night in January 2015, there were 564,708 people experiencing homelessness in the United States. Sixty-nine percent of those who were homeless were in sheltered locations and 31 percent were found in unsheltered locations (streets, abandoned buildings, cars, etc.)." Most of those found in unsheltered locations were turn away from the shelter.

One Refuge is located at 2003 Johnson Road in Charlotte North Carolina. It is a non-profit organization with a mission to promote, empower and provide assistance to homeless individuals, and low to moderate income families in Charlotte and the surrounding areas.
