ECM is the largest independent insurance agency in the Carolina's. We have departments in Commercial

ECM Solutions was organized and incorporated in August of 1987. Arnold Edwards, Bart Church and Jim Muse, the founding partners, brought backgrounds of carrier marketing, agency sales and management, as well as banking and finance to the formation of the firm. While Bart Church suffered an accidental death soon after the agency was formed, Arnold Edwards and Jim Muse have, to this day, lived out

the original plan of the vision shared by all three in 1987. Since the agency beginning, we have added Jeff Haney, Jeff Little, Sam Thompson, Tim Turner, John Ketner, and Jae McGuirt as owners and officers of the agency. ECM embraces the independent agency system and is committed to thriving as an independent, client focused organization.

As summer wraps up, we’re giving a huge shoutout to our amazing interns — Gareth, Tina, and Riley! ☀️💼
Over the past few months, they’ve spent time learning and contributing across our Personal Lines, Employee Benefits, Surety, and Commercial Lines departments. From shadowing client meetings to diving into policy analysis, they’ve taken every opportunity to grow and make a real impact.

🎓 Gareth and Tina are both studying Risk Management and Insurance at App State, and Riley is studying Finance with a Risk Management and Insurance concentration at UNCC.

Your hard work, curiosity, and professionalism didn’t go unnoticed. Thank you for spending your summer with us — the future of the industry is in great hands! 👏👏👏

We’re excited to welcome Jake to the ECM team!

Jake grew up outside of Tampa, FL where he played college baseball at USF while studying finance. After graduating in 2021, he continued his baseball career playing two seasons of pro baseball with the Washington Nationals. He retired from pro ball in 2023 and began his career in insurance. Jake has a passion for helping clients succeed and problem solving that makes him a great fit for our team. Outside of work, Jake enjoys spending time with his wife and their dog, Duncan, playing golf, and cheering on his hometown teams—the Buccs, Rays, and Lightning. Welcome aboard, Jake! We are glad to have you with us!

We're thrilled to have her on board after her fantastic internship with us last summer. When she's not working, Katie loves spending time with friends and family, traveling, and exploring all the wonderful things that Charlotte has to offer.
