Great to be back at a local Network Build Grow (NBG) event after a summer break.

I enjoyed reconnecting with fellow business owners and hearing from Brandon Blell.

Gino Wickman's quote, "Vision without traction is hallucination," really resonated, and the tools Brandon shared were practical and insightful.

Grateful for the opportunity to learn and grow with this community.

Liven up your workplace with a furry friend!

Bringing pets to the office can boost employee morale, reduce stress, and even improve teamwork.

Plus, it's a socially responsible way to promote animal adoption.

Consider factors like space and allergies before getting started, but the benefits could be big for both your employees and your business!

My favorite quote from Lauren Ansley's presentation at the NBG Signature Event last week...

“Whatever you think you can't do, just know that there is someone who is confidently doing it wrong right now. They have no plans at doing it better either, and people are paying them to do it. Please believe in your own excellence as much as they believe in their mediocrity.”

That definitely made me stop and think.

I was honored to support Natalie Terry's networking event yesterday, especially since she incorporated a social good element. ❤️

Natalie invited all participants to donate gently used coats to support Pilgrims' Inn, a wonderful nonprofit in Rock Hill, SC. I dug through our closets to find as many as possible!

Pilgrims' Inn provides holistic help and a healing environment for their clients. Beginning with the most basic necessities - shelter and food - they work with clients to achieve stability and growth in every area of their lives.

Thanks to Natalie for allowing me to share ways to amplify our impact for Pilgrims' Inn and how this collaboration benefits everyone involved. Stay tuned for my next post for details!

Looking for a realtor in the Charlotte area? Look no further than Natalie with Keller Williams! Her professionalism, expertise, and commitment to social causes are exceptional.

Considering supporting a nonprofit? Please check out Pilgrims' Inn. JaVonda Palmer, their Executive Director, and Lemeli Crockett, their Emergency Assistance Coordinator, were fabulous to work with, and they are providing wonderful support to women and children in need.

Cheers to doing good in our community!!

And remember to tag any of your efforts with to inspire others!

Happy New Year! I'm feeling grateful for fun memories in 2023 and getting excited about 2024. I've been doing a little goal setting - looking forward to more time....playing with old friends and making new ones, enjoying RVA traditions, listening to the birds, taking road trips, trying new things, listening to live music, visiting new local businesses, giving back, watching squirrels, taking walks, and spending time in nature... oh, and definitely fewer silly hats! Love to hear about your goals!

Happy Belated Holidays and New Year!!! I've been quiet for a few weeks as we spent lots of time celebrating the holidays while also fighting the flu and covid.

I look forward to spending a lot of quality time with my wonderful family this year while also growing Small Actions Greater Good.

Cheers to the start of your 2024!

Some random facts about me on a beautiful rainy Sunday morning...

1️⃣ I am a pluviophile - one who finds joy and peace of mind during rainy days.

So much so that we built a "Rain Room," not a sun room, on our deck primarily for rainy days. Yes, I really should live in the Pacific Northwest. Or Ireland.

2️⃣ I am also a ceraunophile - one who loves thunder and lightning.

I grew up watching thunderstorms as a kid and still run for the porch, an often a glass of wine, during a storm. I even go to sleep to the sound of a thunderstorm, lightening and all.

3️⃣ I love the color white and would have so much more in my house if I didn't also have a 7-year-old, 3 crazy cats, and a clumsy streak myself.

And no, I didn't pick the white cat because of this. He picked my daughter when we adopted him 3 years ago. He's also deaf and a complete holy terror! But also super sweet. Did you see my post with him in the Christmas tree?

4️⃣ I don't drink real coffee. But I am obsessed with Maxwell House International French Vanilla Cafe. My husband calls it my coffee creamer, not my coffee. I buy it in bulk on Amazon.

I am almost always drinking it in one of my multiple teal coffee cups (my other favorite color).

There's always a ziplock bag of the powder in my purse or bag! It has made quite a few people laugh when I pull it out at breakfast meetings.

5️⃣ I had two major moments where the ideas for Small Actions Greater Good solidified - both on rainy mornings while drinking my "coffee." Do you see a trend?!? Lol.

Share your random facts or rain-inspired moments! What makes you, you?
