Most people only see the finished garden, not everything that happens before the plants are in place.
For this balcony installation more than 20 floors above the ground, we started by covering the floors with protective paper to keep the space clean while we worked. Since there wasn't a hose connection outside, we connected to the client's sink and ran water from inside the home so the new plants could be watered properly as they were installed.
The goal was to create a living privacy screen using fragrant tea olives, giving the balcony a little more separation from neighboring views while adding year-round greenery and one of the best fragrances you'll find in the landscape.
Be sure to watch through to the end to see the finished photos. The transformation is worth it.
