Charlotte knows how to throw a dinner party 🍽️✨

We had a great time joining industry leaders, partners, and community champions at the annual HTA Dinner & Gala — one of the best rooms in the city for conversations about hospitality, tourism, growth, and the future of Charlotte.

Big thanks to the Greater Charlotte Hospitality & Tourism Alliance for hosting another evening bringing together the people helping keep Charlotte moving forward.

CLTPR was proud to have a seat at the table. 👏

Big conversations are happening around transportation in Charlotte—and we’re right in the middle of them.

This month, David Howard of the Metropolitan Public Transportation Authority Board sat down with attendees at CLTPR’s April Public Policy Meeting for an open, candid, and refreshingly conversational discussion on where things are headed as our region continues to grow and change. Howard stayed to field questions and listen to concerns from residents.

🚆 Transportation is evolving
🗣️ And the conversation is just getting started

Last week we gathered at Innovation Barn for a conversation that perfectly captured what “Local Politics for Non-Political People” is all about 👏

We were joined by Kimberly Owens, who shared her path from passionate community member to serving on City Council in Charlotte. She gave a candid look into what drives her work, the priorities she’s focused on, and what it really takes to lead in a fast-growing city.

From thoughtful questions to open dialogue, the room brought the energy — and the curiosity — making it a space where people could truly engage, learn, and connect.

Shoutout to Bryan Holladay for guiding such a meaningful conversation, and to everyone who showed up ready to be part of it.

And a big thank you to our host for creating the perfect environment for conversations like these ✨

From power outages to frozen pipes, planning ahead can prevent bigger problems later.

CLTPR | 2025 Year in Review: The Power of Being in the Right Room

2025 was a year defined by movement — across industries, across regions, and across the rooms where decisions are made.

Our work wasn’t about being everywhere.
It was about being where it mattered.

Because when you’re in the right room, you’re part of the conversation — and part of the outcome.

Public Policy, Up Close and Local
In partnership with the Charlotte Area Chamber, CLTPR hosted monthly Public Policy Meetings designed to make policy more accessible and actionable for the region.

This year’s conversations included county leadership, City Council members, a North Carolina Senator, and transportation leaders tied to the I-77 corridor. Each meeting reinforced a simple truth: communities thrive when people understand the decisions shaping their future.

We closed the year with our annual Local News Outlook — a candid look back at Charlotte’s 2025 headlines and what’s ahead.

Regional Engagement & Advocacy
In 2025, CLTPR expanded its advocacy footprint across the Carolinas and beyond — supporting partners in Charlotte, Raleigh, Asheville, Fayetteville, Monroe, Washington, D.C., and Tampa Bay.

Our work included advocacy travel, elected-official engagement, land use and public policy programming, fundraising support, international business promotion, and the ex*****on of the Annual SMART Conference.

Introducing CLTPR Management
This year marked the formal launch of CLTPR Management, our association management division serving membership organizations, multifamily associations, and nonprofit boards.

CLTPR Management provides strategic communications, membership engagement, education programming, governance support, event management, and long-term planning — with a dedicated team now serving clients across the Southeast.

Launching The Associated
We also launched The Associated, a CLTPR-produced podcast highlighting the people and policies shaping the multifamily and association landscape. Six episodes were released in 2025, with more ahead.

Growing Our Team
To meet growing demand, CLTPR expanded internal capacity across communications, government affairs support, operations, events, research, and digital strategy — while welcoming both college and high school interns.

Looking Ahead to 2026
As we move into the year ahead, our mission remains unchanged: to help organizations communicate clearly, advocate effectively, and show up confidently in the right rooms.

The Power of Being in the Right Room
Our principle. Our strategy. Our commitment.
