Meta made a lot of changes across all of their platforms in the last year, but they have made a change so egregious that is has many people, ourselves included, permanently deleting the app.

Meta announced that the U.S. will no longer have access to their third-party fact-checking program. This isn’t surprising given that Meta has been caving to the political demands of the Trump administration, but it’s still incredibly disheartening.

There are over 300,000 Black women in the US who have lost their jobs since the start of the Trump administration in last year. With their attack on DEI, we want to remind everyone that you need to support and ✨PAY✨ Black women whenever you can.

↗️ Support Black women locally. Your city likely has registries of Black-owned businesses and they’re a great way to find new spots to support with your 💰. In Charlottesville, we follow Black Cville and the Cville Jefferson School on Instagram to stay informed.

Instagram is constantly changing, but we saw a number of new features added in the last year that you should know about as a small business owner.

The big takeaways? Instagram is consistently changing to make their platform function more like TikTok when it comes to Reels and video content.

Yes, using artificial intelligence can definitely speed up your work — but, that doesn’t mean that the work that AI creates is better than what you could deliver on your own for your small business.
