4 weeks or a little less left until June 14th arrives and that is the day of the 9th Annual Black Business Expo, presented by WTJU 91.1FM and Lifeview Marketing & Visuals, LLC at the Jefferson School Courtyard located at 233 4th St., NW, Charlottesville, VA. The event features panel discussions, business pitch competition with $1,500 in cash up for grabs, live performances, vendors, a gaming tent, and more. The event is FREE to all, and no registration fees for vendors but we have a limited number of booths left. If your business is Black owned then please sign up now before all booths are assigned. If you have a great idea for a business then challenge yourself to sign up to join the business pitch competition.
The Expo was founded as a response to events that occurred in Charlottesville on August 12th when the Alt-Right caused havoc in the city. Nine years later it has not missed a beat. This year's performances include a C'ville favorite's, Ebony Groove, and opening act, Jen Tal R&B Band. This year the Expo is fused with the Juneteenth Celebration presented by the Jefferson School African American Heritage Center The event takes place 9a-3p
