Today I received a surprise message from sharing his art portfolio that left me speechless! His works were just awesome and I thought to myself, wow! I didn’t know Zikki was so talented in painting!!

He also mentioned that he tagged me on his website and I had to ask him what he meant by that and I found this note on his “about” page that again left me speechless!

I feel blessed and so proud of your work Zikki! You are a rising star! ⭐️

I painted way before I became a consultant, and as a matter of fact, I became a consultant because I was painting!

About six years ago, I started painting professionally with only one goal in mind, “to achieve what seemed out of touch!”

Six years and a career in business later, I realize the value of the multidimensional effort of turning invisible ideas into a tangible product more than ever!

In implementing this effort, my guiding light has been a quote by William Arthur Ward (writer), “If you can imagine it, you can achieve it. If you can dream it, you can become it.” While on an individual level, we are responsible for manifesting our dreams, in the context of organizations and larger systems, the real question is, “how?”

Photos are from a public event we held during the pride month in 2018 to help collect petition to amplify the voices of trans people.

Life without ART, by Darlene Lewis

Can you ask a baby not to cry?
can you ask a bird not to fly?
can you ask a flower not to bloom?
life without art is death after doom
life without movement still and content
worthless meaningless time is spent
idle just slumber just plain and bland
no strokes no pens or pencil in hand
no music no prose no blisters on toes
no broken hearted dancers no shows
only true artists understand and know
how life would be so grey and dark
life without love is life without art
rehearsals and go sees and cattle calls
no models no musicians at all
no mp3s or mov's nor any html
no lyrics lost no cds to sell
no beats no bangs no blues no rock
no jazz no reggatone no not
museum walls crying for frames
artifacts unknown fossil names
markers paint oil and lead
art cannot live if it is dead
Art is a baby waiting to be
nurtured and loved eternally
Art is a Rose in full bloom
Life without art is Death after Doom

The concept of used to be super external for me and it depended on many things outside of the person I am. So life got real hard but also helped me wake up and realize my self and my happiness... the adversity helped me realize the connection I have with my plants, your plants, and even YOU and I’m grateful for that 💗

I miss working with kids, teaching them art, my school visits, and family art jams at UVA.

Would you ever think of an onion as sexy? Well this Giant onion, a species of onions knows his game so well! This can grow tall anywhere between 1.5 ft to 5 ft and is considered to be one of the tallest herbs within its kingdom. While it rarely smells like an onion it is said to symbolize , humility, and patience. Giant is super easy to take care of and it’s a perfect option for with brown thumbs 😊 #

If you are looking to attract hummingbirds and butterflies to your garden consider this lovely looking Common columbine, also known as Granny’s nightcap. Her botanical name is Aquilegia vulgar and has a toxicity level that matches its unbelievably beautiful appearance. So please do not eat it and wear gloves when handling to be safe😉 this beautiful herb symbolizes deceived lovers, ingratitude, and faithlessness! However in traditional lore carrying bunch of common columbine was said to encourage feelings from a loved one 😁 source

My weekend routine is to wake up, make coffee, and paint something. On Saturdays I water my plants before I start painting and on Sundays I check out my house plants on my way downstairs to make coffee. I live for weekends and my routines - it has become something that I look forward to...
