If you are interested in association management, Easter Associates, Inc. wants to hear from you. We have an immediate opening for a director position who will manage conferences, events, and education programs for state and national. While the role is primarily meeting planning, there is an opportunity to flex your communication, membership management, and marketing skills. Easter Associates, Inc. is a full-service association management and government relations company with offices in Charlottesville and Richmond, Virginia. We are looking to welcome someone in to join us in our Richmond office.
Responsibilities:
Meeting Planning
Coordination and ex*****on of assigned client conferences, meetings, and educational seminars, including:
• hotel/venue RFPs and contracts
• program planning (planning committee participation, program set up and food and beverage orders, etc.)
• registration management
• speaker, exhibitor, and sponsor management
• program marketing and promotion and production of event materials
• on-site staff and volunteer management
• budget creation and reconciliation
General Support
• database management
• member communications (email, website maintenance, social media, newsletter, brochures, etc.)
• member recruitment & retention
• Executive Committee, Board of Directors, and committee support
• Manage various association programs
Qualifications:
Experience
• 2-5 years of conference/meeting planning
• association/non-profit work is preferred
• database, communications platform, and website maintenance experience are preferred
Skills and abilities
• manage multiple clients of varying industries and needs
• exhibit excellent customer service skills
• strong written and verbal communication skills
• prioritize, multi-task, and maintain attention to details
• proficiency in Microsoft Office, Outlook, SharePoint
• lift 20 lbs.
Travel
• possess a Virginia drivers’ license
• overnight and weekend travel
