November 15th is America Recycles Day!
Please do your part to Reduce purchases and unneeded items, Reuse all you can, and then, recycle what cannot be reused. Think of opportunities to put used items and materials into areas that can reuse them, local nonprofits or area schools and places of worship are a couple examples.

UVA Recycling is fully operational! We are collecting all recyclables across Grounds. The ROSE Program is open Monday - Friday, 7am - 3pm and we do require all visitors to use our hand sanitizing station upon entry. Masks are currently optional. If you need any special service, please call (982-5050) or email us ([email protected]).

Effective today, UVA Recycling is suspending the collection of recyclables, with the exception of confidential paper in medical/clinical spaces. Until we are able to resume the collection and processing of plastics, metals, glass, and cardboard, we must send these items to the landfill. The ROSE Program will also remained closed for the duration.

We're sad to lose these materials to the landfill, but we must do our part in this public health crisis to minimize the spread of the virus. Thank you for your patience and support. UVA Recycling wishes you good health!

UVA Recycling is having a little duct work done; next week the ROSE program may have limited access due to overhead work. Call ahead, and we'll let you know if we're open or find another way to offer ROSE items for you! 434-982-5050

We have PALLETS of 1.5" and 1" binders coming into the ROSE Program soon. If any schools, non-profits, businesses, etc can use a few hundred (or thousand), contact Sarah Smith to coordinate.

Remember, ROSE (Reusable Office Supply Exchange) is here to reduce purchases and reuse items rather than send them to a landfill. All items are free to anyone who can use them; we accept donated items from any university departments.

As Spring classes begin, the ROSE Program has an influx of binders - and if you look closely, there might be some 2-pocket folders! Save your money and save the earth by acquiring some good-as-new (and FREE) office supplies here at the Recycling Warehouse.

We're open until 3:30pm Monday-Friday, so come visit at the location on the map below. You can also find us at some special Mobile ROSE tablings (details to come!).
