We’ve had the pleasure of spending the past couple of days in St. Paul, Virginia facilitating strategic planning sessions for St. Paul VA Main Street, and we couldn’t ask for a more welcoming community to work in.

From the wonderful accommodations at the Western Front Hotel, to delicious meals from Giovanni's Pizza of St. Paul, VA, Papaw's BBQ, and Puerto Nuevo St. Paul, every stop has reminded us what makes small towns so special.

Our meetings were held in the beautiful Lyric Theater St. Paul Virginia, which provided the perfect setting for thoughtful conversations about the future of downtown and the community.

Thank you to everyone who welcomed us so warmly and shared their ideas and vision. Communities like St. Paul make this work incredibly rewarding.

We’re excited to see what comes next for this amazing town.

We’re proud that River District Consulting Group is playing a supporting role on related infrastructure initiatives that help communities prepare for growth.

Here’s to continued momentum.

This is the second-largest economic development deal in Southside Virginia history. It’s eligible for more than $100 million in state and local incentives, officials said.

Yesterday, our team had the opportunity to attend the Virginia To***co Region Revitalization Commission's Project Development Workshop at Longwood University. It was an incredibly valuable session, offering a look at the many state and regional funding opportunities available to support community development, downtown revitalization, agribusiness, and more.

We learned a lot during our time at the workshop! A key takeaway for us was how complex the grant landscape can be, but also how many pathways exist to move meaningful projects forward. The presentations from partner agencies highlighted how different funding streams can be layered to maximize impact, strengthen project feasibility, and support long-term community goals.

Thank you to the To***co Region Revitalization Commission for hosting, and to the Virginia Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services, Virginia Department of Environmental Quality, Virginia Housing, Virginia Department of Housing and Community Development, and all partner agencies for sharing their programs and taking the time to discuss individual project ideas. It was a great opportunity to learn, connect, and think strategically about what’s possible for our region.

It has been such a pleasure working with Caswell County Partnership for Children on their Fundraising and Marketing Plan.

What started as one project evolved into something even more meaningful as we worked together to identify goals and tailor the process to fit their needs.

By staying flexible and focused, we were able to create tools and resources that will help strengthen their fundraising and outreach efforts moving forward.

Thanks again, Sandra and the rest of the Partnership team, and we look forward to seeing your impact in Caswell!

We spent yesterday with some of our favorite people!

Our EVOLVE cohort came together for a full session on fundraising, financial strategy, and all the things that make nonprofit sustainability feel both possible and overwhelming.

We’re incredibly grateful to this cohort that continues to show up ready to share, wrestle with tough questions, and support one another. Relationships matter, between donors and organizations, but also among leaders navigating similar challenges.
