• Understand safe work practices and lead safety by example
• Lead improvements in the extrusion/twisting process for consistent manufacturing of sports field and landscape yarns.
• Look for opportunities anywhere in the yarn making process to improve throughput, eliminate waste, reduce cost, and improve quality.
• Support ex*****on of routine maintenance shutdowns as well as major rebuilds
• Utilize economic and critical thinking and risk-taking mentality to ensure operating costs are minimized wherever practical.
• Encourage operators to demonstrate personal ownership and fostering the personal growth of their capabilities
• Collaborate with supervisors to prioritize work
• Maintain and track key metrics and provide explanations for metric performance on a weekly and monthly basis – Uptime, raw material consumption, operating supply usage, and machine speed
