Big Self School Consciousness is the curriculum. Enneagram-based personal growth with Dr. Shelley Prevost and Emma.

When I first started learning the Enneagram, one decision set off all the others: I would never betray myself again.

Not my needs. Not my values. Not the people who matter. Not who I am at my core. And not for someone else's version of success that I bought into.

Every pattern has a way of asking you to trade yourself away. Knowing your subtype shows you which trade you tend to make.

Today: notice one small place you said yes when you meant no.

Find your subtype, free: comment SUBTYPE and we'll DM you the quiz.

You said "sounds good" in the meeting. By the drive home you'd rewritten the whole conversation, and this time you said what you meant.

For some people that yes (when they mean no) is about keeping the peace. For some it's about staying useful, or liked, or out of trouble. Which one is yours matters more than the number on your type, and you won't find it by being told what you are.

That's why Emma, your Enneagram companion, gives you a working read and tells you to hold it lightly. Then she gets specific: where the pattern costs you, and small experiments to try in an ordinary week. This test account (made-up details) reads as a Social Two. Its Book names the helping as the engine, and its first experiment is to count how many bids you make to support of help. Not to change it, but just to notice it.

The $49 typing package comes with one free month of Emma. Comment BOOK and we'll DM you the link.

It's a lot easier to hear hard stuff about yourself when it's written down and you can read it twice, alone, with a cup of tea.

That's the Book of You. After the Enneagram assessment and a voice conversation with Emma, your Enneagram companion, you get around thirty pages: your subtype among all twenty-seven, the beliefs that run you, how other people experience you, and where your pattern costs you. Then a Growth Path with what to work on and what to practice. You keep it as a PDF, plus a plain-text copy you can paste into whatever AI you already use.

$49, once, with one free month of Emma included and nothing to cancel. Comment BOOK for the link to get started!

Which Enneagram 6 are you?

Here's the scene: your boss sends “Got a minute?” and nothing else.

The self-preservation Six writes back warm and fast, "Everything OK?" then messages the coworker who always has their back. The warmth is real. It’s also making sure nobody turns on them.

The Social Six pulls up the project plan and the last review, and walks in with proof on their side. The rules give them safety.

The Sexual Six is at the boss’s door. “What’s this about?” There’s half a second of fear before the push, and it goes by so fast they’d swear it wasn’t there.

Same text, same alarm. Your subtype is the direction your energy takes when the fear shows up.

Small job for today: make one small decision without checking it with anyone or ruminating on it. Then let it stand, and notice what happens to the fear once you’ve acted.

Any Enneagram type can do anything. Two people can both stay late every night, one wants to be seen as indispensable and one wants to make sure nothing goes wrong. A typical quiz records "stays late," but it can't see why. It's hard to figure out that level of nuance in a quiz.

So we built an Enneagram typing package that includes a voice conversation with Emma, your Enneagram companion. You take a quiz, and we hand the answers to Emma. She starts from the assessment's result and your own answers about your life, asks about your motivation, and confirms the result or presents a new option to consider. It's a long-ish process (about an hour), so you can break it up - stop and come back anytime.

Shown here in a test account. She's waiting to help you figure out your Enneagram subtype! Then she writes a report (called The Book of You) and gives you a Growth path all about the work you need to do to become a healthier version of your type.

If you coach people, you know this one. Clients bring up the conversation they want to have with someone, you practice it together, they leave sounding ready. Two weeks later they're back and the conversation never happened.

It doesn't happen for a variety of reasons, all perfectly normal. And that reason becomes most of the session work right in that moment.

Rehearsal can *feel* like progress, but it's often just our pattern running. Some types rehearse to get it right. Some rehearse to make sure nobody will be upset. Some rehearse so they'll never be caught off guard. The rehearsal is doing a really good job helping you avoid.

One thing to try with them: skip the full script and ask for the first sentence only, written down, said to the other person within 24 hours.

If you want to see which rehearser you are yourself first: Comment SUBTYPE for our free quiz.

You gave the same note to two people on the team. One said "great, thanks" and fixed it by lunch. One went silent for a week. You said the exact same words.

Each of them heard it through what they're protecting. For one, it was a task. For the other, it landed on whether they're good enough to be there at all. Knowing which is which before you say anything saves a lot of time mind-reading and the turmoil that comes with it.

Emma, by Big Self School, gives a team that map. Everyone is typed to their subtype, the team gets a written read of how they work together, and each person can talk with Emma, their Enneagram companion, between sessions. Coaches can bring it into the teams they already work with.

Use Emma with your teams. Comment EMMA and we'll DM you the link.

Here's the question: "What do I do when I'm stressed that I probably don't notice?"

Pick someone who likes you and has seen you at your worst. A partner, a sibling, the friend who's known you since college. Ask it, and then the rule is that you only get to say thank you. No "well, that's because." No context. Write down what they said when you get home.

Your ego will want to defend. That's normal. The part you most want to argue with is usually the part that's true and hard to see from inside yourself.

If the conversation gets harder than you expected, it helps to know what your own pattern is guarding.

Feedback stings most when it touches the wound your pattern is built to protect. This is a bruise to the ego.

Knowing your Enneagram type gets you partway to what that is. Knowing your subtype, hearing it back with some objectivity, and grappling with what you hear, gets you a lot further.

That's what the typing package from Big Self School does. An assessment that reads for your subtype, a voice conversation with Emma, your Enneagram companion, and a written Book of You and Growth Path: the beliefs that run you, how other people experience you, and what to practice.

We've worked really hard to bring you the shortest Enneagram subtype quiz we could. Part of the beauty of AI is that it's a master at pattern recognition, which is what the Enneagram archetypes are all about. And once it has a high enough degree of confidence, it knows to stop.

You can try our quiz for free right now!

Each answer picks the next question. It reads for one of 27 subtypes. It stops once the answers point clearly (this test run took 14), checks the result against its look-alikes, and if the answers don't point clearly, it says so rather than overclaiming. It's also the opening of the questionnaire in Emma's typing package, where a voice conversation with Emma, your Enneagram companion, comes next, and she can disagree with her own result.

Comment SUBTYPE and we'll DM you the free subtype quiz.
