💜 Meet Our Executive Director, Tim Boyd
Over the past several months, you’ve likely noticed exciting changes at the Epilepsy Foundation of Southeast Tennessee—from a new website and expanded community partnerships to new programs and a renewed focus on serving individuals and families across our region. Behind much of that momentum is our Executive Director, Tim Boyd.
Tim has dedicated his life to serving others.
A graduate of East Ridge High School and the University of Tennessee, Tim built a distinguished career as an engineer, inventor, and environmental consultant before answering the call to public service. He served three terms as Hamilton County Commissioner, where he became known for thoughtful leadership and a deep commitment to improving the lives of those in our community.
His passion for giving back extends beyond public office. Tim has championed programs that promote childhood literacy, strengthen families, and create opportunities for others. His lifelong dedication to service has earned the respect of countless organizations and community leaders throughout Southeast Tennessee.
But above all, Tim is a family man. He and his high school sweetheart, Jan, have been married since 1973 and are proud parents of three children and grandparents to five grandchildren. That same compassion and commitment to family are reflected in the way he leads our organization.
As we continue growing our impact, Tim’s vision is simple: to ensure that no individual or family affected by epilepsy feels alone. Through education, advocacy, support, and meaningful community partnerships, he is helping move our mission forward and build a stronger future for those we serve.
We’re grateful for Tim’s leadership and excited for what’s ahead as we continue making a difference together.
💜 Thank you for being part of our journey.
