🌱 Meet Liz, a graduate of the CO.STARTERS Core program run by Reinventing Rural, and the inspiring founder of The Compost Chick. Based in North Powder, Oregon, Liz’s curbside food scrap pick-up service is helping the planet, the community, and the soil—one compost pile at a time.
With over 90 customers, including homes, restaurants, and even the Eastern Oregon University cafeteria, Liz is turning food waste into a valuable resource for her community. Now, with support from a $14,000 loan from Kiva Oregon, Liz is investing in equipment to expand her impact, reduce costs, and keep more waste out of landfills.
👏 We’re proud to have played a small role in Liz’s journey and can’t wait to see how she continues to make our world a little better. Learn more about Liz’s incredible journey here: https://kivaoregon.org/the-compost-chick/
