We all have weak moments. What matters most is what happens next.

One of the things I love about Ted Lasso is how it reframes leadership through humanity. Not by ignoring mistakes—but by asking how we show up when we’re given a second chance.

Forgiveness isn’t about pretending something didn’t happen. It’s about choosing growth over judgment, learning over labels, and courage over defensiveness.

The leaders who leave a lasting mark aren’t defined by a single moment. They’re defined by how they respond, how they grow, and how they extend that same grace to others.

Today, we celebrate the leaders who show up with heart—at work and at home.

Happy Mother’s Day to the mothers, bonus moms, grandmothers, and maternal figures who model patience, strength, empathy, and care every single day.

Your impact isn’t always loud, but it’s lasting. The way you listen, guide, support, and lead shapes families, teams, and communities in ways that truly matter.

Thank you for the work you do—the visible and the unseen—and for the example you set for all of us.

Mistakes don’t define leadership. Responses do.

Every mistake has three phases:
The decision.
The moment it happens.
And what comes after.

That third phase is where leadership shows up.

Do we own it?
Do we learn from it?
Do we choose vulnerability over cover ups?

The most effective leaders we work with aren’t mistake free. They’re willing to take responsibility, be honest about what happened, and model the behavior they want to see in others.

Because growth doesn’t happen when people pretend nothing went wrong.
It happens when leaders create space for learning, accountability, and trust.

Your brand isn’t what you say. It’s what people feel when they walk in the door.

In this conversation with Julia Carcamo, Ben Scholl & her talked about a truth leaders can’t afford to overlook: branding only works when the experience backs it up. You can promise “magical,” “memorable,” or “exceptional” all day long—but if the feeling doesn’t match the message, the brand breaks.

The real work of branding happens in behaviors, culture, and moments. It’s how guests are greeted. It’s how teams show up. It’s what people experience when no one is watching.

Huge thanks to Julia Carcamo for having Ben on her podcast Drive Time Marketing and for a thoughtful conversation about activating brand through experience—not just words.

Some of the most meaningful work we do doesn’t start with profit. It starts with people.

At B to C Solutions, we’re proud to support Native American tribes through hands on operations work, hospitality and casino partnerships, mentorship, and leadership development.

These communities are building something bigger than short term wins. They’re creating long term sustainability—for their people, their culture, and the generations that follow. Being welcomed into that work is both a responsibility and an honor, and one we don’t take lightly.

This is the kind of work that reminds us why we do what we do—and who it’s really for.

Most hotels don’t have a technology problem—they have a tech stack problem.

Disconnected systems, weak integrations, and hidden inefficiencies are quietly costing operators time, revenue, and guest satisfaction every single day.

Before chasing AI and the “next big thing,” it’s worth asking:
👉 Is your current technology actually working together the way it should?

We break down the real impact—and what to do about it—in our latest blog.

Not all goals move us forward.

SMART goals are powerful—but sometimes our loyalty to a goal keeps us stuck in work or cultures we’ve outgrown.

Here’s the shift:
Focus on who you want to be and let the “what” evolve.

Growth requires flexibility.
The right goals should create momentum—not resistance.

What’s a goal you’ve outgrown?

Happiness has a simple starting point: authenticity.

When we stop trying to be someone else and fully show up as who we are, life gets clearer—and lighter. Fulfillment doesn’t come from fitting a mold. It comes from honoring your boundaries, your values, and your truth.

The real work isn’t becoming more.
It’s becoming you.

Connection begins at the welcome.

The smallest human touches often create the biggest impact.

Thanks for always using my name when I board. That’s how connection starts.

Communication isn’t something leaders deliver.
It’s something teams experience together.

When people say “communication is poor,” it’s rarely about a lack of updates. It’s about a lack of dialogue.

Real communication happens when team members feel safe to raise their hand, ask questions, and understand the why—not just the what.

If the message only flows one way, we’re not communicating.
We’re broadcasting.
