Mount Mazama - now known as Crater Lake - is the source of all our Beaver Pumice! It erupted 7,700 years ago and left organic, nutrient rich, air fall pumice all over the place.

Despite the recent forest fires filling the area with smoke, we still get to work in one of the prettiest places ever. Here's a West facing view of the sunset from our Beaver Pumice pit. No filters were used - the sky really was that pink!

This sunflower is happily growing outside of Merrill Elementary School in a garden full of pumice (and squash, and tomatoes, and peppers, etc.) We hope it gives the teachers and students as much joy as it gives us.
