Angler tip of the week:
We see this more times than one would think...
When you're building a SoftTie spinner, don’t forget one of the easiest ways to keep your spin clean and fishy — bead spacing. Make sure you stack enough beads between the hook and the clevis so the blade never smacks the hook while spinning.
A blade that hits the hook = no spin, no flash, and fewer takedowns.
A blade that spins freely = fish in the box.
Simple rule:
Add beads until the blade clears the hook by ⅛–¼ inch during rotation.
