“Close enough” works in some trades.
In piping, it usually doesn’t.
A fitting that’s just slightly off.
The wrong schedule on a pipe.
Threads that look right, but aren’t.
Everything can look correct sitting on a pallet.
Until install starts.
Now connections don’t line up. Crews stop to double-check specs. Parts get swapped out. Work that should move forward turns into troubleshooting.
In PVF systems, small differences aren’t cosmetic—they determine whether things fit, seal, and perform the way they’re supposed to.
Precision isn’t about perfection. It’s about avoiding the kind of issues that slow a job down once materials hit the field.
Where have you seen a “close enough” part create more work than expected?
