Camp Chai is one of the most joyful parts of summer at The J, bringing together kids, families, counselors, and our community for unforgettable experiences year after year. Now, we’re looking for an exceptional leader to help guide its next chapter!
The JCC of Greater Albuquerque is seeking an experienced, creative, and mission-driven Camp Director to lead Camp Chai and our year-round seasonal camp programs.
We’re looking for someone who loves camp, understands what makes an incredible experience for kids and families, and is ready to bring fresh ideas, strong leadership, and plenty of camp spirit to The J.
This is a full-time, year-round position with the opportunity to shape programming, develop an amazing team, strengthen Jewish experiences and traditions, and continue growing Camp Chai into something truly special.

Kef means fun in Hebrew and lots of fun to be had at Camp KEF Kaiserman JCC Sunrise Day Camp-Greater Philadelphia and Sunrise Association. Thank you Alan Scher Katie Hausman, and Matt Martin for inviting me back and Jenni Rebetti for stopping by to say hi. As you can see, it’s always sunny in Philadelphia, especially when it’s time to launch color war!

Today is Harold’s 97th birthday and what a fitting way to celebrate it by reading a JPost article detailing some of his incredible accomplishments. One of the rare places where one can visit 3 Jewish day camps on one beautiful site. Thank you Glenn, Stephanie, Mallory, Meshi, Julia, Nataliya and Emily for a glorious day at Henry Kaufmann Campgrounds. I’m excited to return soon to see how your camps will continue to transform to the benefit of thousands of campers from JCC Staten Island, New Country Day Camp and JCH Bensonhurst. Day three of an action packed tour of Apachi Day Camp and many of their locations. Alison Blake gave an awesome tour of Z Frank Apachi and Sarah Kanchwala and Will Goodman helped us wrap up the tour with style.

Our head is filled with so many things to share with the Network from these three days, while our heart is filled with gratitude from the amazing people we connected with.

Day two of visits included Apachi Northside and Apachi Old Town. Andrea, Lille and their respective teams are doing great keeping their campers and safe, especially in this heat. Check out some of the things they are up to!

With 9 different camps located throughout the Chicago area, one needs multiple days to try to see it all. Mondays visit included a catch up meeting with CEO Addie Goodman and visits to Apachi Village, E Frank Apachi and Sunrise Day Camp-Chicago Apachi Day Camp. Day two starts now!

So proud of Sara and her continued success and impact. Sara was hired as the assistant camp director at JCC Camps at Medford in 2014 and we worked well together for two summers. Since then we have connected regularly. Excited to partner with her as she undertakes her new position, knowing that her passion for Jewish day camp is eternal. So much more to accomplish, and with Sara at the helm, it’s going to be great!
