Part-Time PRN Direct Support Professional (DSP)
Pay Rate: $15.00–$25.00 per hour�Employment Type: Part-Time / PRN (As Needed)�Service Areas: Suffolk, Chesapeake, Roanoke, and Franklin City, Virginia
Position Summary
We are seeking compassionate, dependable, and motivated Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to provide person-centered support to individuals in their homes and communities. The DSP will assist individuals with daily living activities, community participation, skill development, and other support needs while promoting independence, dignity, and quality of life.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide direct care and support based on each individual's service plan.
* Assist with daily living activities, personal care, and household tasks as needed.
* Support individuals with community activities, appointments, errands, and recreational activities.
* Encourage independence and assist individuals with developing daily living and other skills.
* Provide medication support or assistance as authorized and trained.
* Maintain accurate and timely documentation.
* Follow all company policies, individual support plans, and safety procedures.
* Report changes in an individual's condition, incidents, or concerns to the appropriate supervisor.
* Maintain a professional, respectful, and person-centered approach at all times.
Minimum Qualifications
* Must be 18 years of age or older.
* Must have a current and valid driver's license.
* Must have reliable transportation.
* Must have at least 2 years of experience working in home health, direct care, or a related field.
* Must be able to work independently and reliably in clients' homes and community settings.
* Must have strong communication and documentation skills.
* Must be dependable, compassionate, patient, and professional.
Preferred Qualifications
The following training or certifications are preferred:
* CPR Certification
* First Aid Certification
* Medication Administration Training or Certification
Candidates without these certifications may be considered based on experience and willingness to complete required training.
Schedule
This is a Part-Time PRN position, with work schedules based on client needs and available shifts. Flexibility to work weekdays, evenings, weekends, and/or holidays may be required.
Compensation
$15.00–$25.00 per hour, based on experience, qualifications, certifications, assigned responsibilities, and location.
