We created Indie Gyms to disrupt the traditional gym industry because we felt generic, corporate fitness centers actually inhibit fitness. In fact, many of their business models are based on subscribers signing up...but never showing up. We think that’s messed up. (Don’t even get us started on the gyms that prohibit deadlifts...🤬)
Fitness is a basic human necessity, and access to quality fitness equipment and instruction has been controlled by big-box fitness centers for far too long. #757

Powerful. The impact of personal trainers was on full display at funeral today when the Justice’s long-time trainer, Bryant Johnson, honored her life and their 21 year relationship with 3 simple pushups in front of her casket. The bonds forged over sweat and tears are deep. Thank you to all the fitness trainers who make such an impact on us!

Corporate, big-box commercial gyms are a terrible product. Generic, restrictive, and lacking any personality, these gyms take your money and hope you never show up. For trainers, it’s even worse, forcing supplement sales quotas and stealing the lion’s share of their training rates. We think that’s insane. empowers trainers to run their own businesses by connecting them with a network of private, high-quality home gyms across the #757 at a fraction of the cost of these corporate “fitness centers.”

Reliable and affordable training space is hard to find. Generic, corporate gyms are not only unaffordable but downright unfair to trainers, leaving fitness pros with few options to train their clients. We’re here to change that.
