It’s a to congratulate Organization Management Group - OMG Vice President of Legal & Risk Management Blake Hegeman, CAE, on his appointment as the new Professional Development Committee Chair for the Virginia Society of Association Executives (VSAE).

Blake joined OMG in 2023. He is graduate of Virginia Tech and the University of Richmond School of Law with over 15 years of experience practicing real estate, corporate, regulatory and nonprofit association law, and is a sought-after instructor, speaker and writer. In 2022, he was elected to the Virginia State Bar's Corporate Counsel Section Board of Governors. A soon-to-be graduate of Liberty University, Kyra is earning her bachelor’s degree in strategic communication and is a graduate of the Truist Emerging Leaders Certificate Program. She also gained valuable experience with internships in social media management and aviation marketing. Kyra is passionate about building connections through communication and creative strategy. A graduate of Elon University with a master’s degree in public administration from Georgia College & State University, she also holds the Certified Meeting Professional designation. Sara brings two decades of event experience in hospitality management and higher education, including previous work with the University of Florida, Georgia College & State University, and Old Dominion University, and has broad experiences with every level of university governance, from parent-driven stakeholder groups to the highest level of state leadership. Congrats to Organization Management Group - OMG Director of Conferences & Conventions Victoria Brooks (far right), VEMM, who is on site at the annual ENT for the PA-C Annual Conference – presented by SPAO-HNS (Society of Physician Assistants in Otorhinolaryngology/Head & Neck Surgery) - underway from March 17-22 in Galveston, Texas! 🙌 SPAO calls Victoria, whose skills are critical to a successful conference, their “MVP”! SPAO-HNS is “the official specialty organization for PAs in ENT and is recognized by both the American Academy of Physician Associates (AAPA) and the American Academy of Otolaryngology / Head & Neck Surgery Foundation (AAO-HNS/F). SPAO-HNS’s goal is to promote the growth and development of PAs in the ENT field. Congratulations to Organization Management Group - OMG Vice President of Legal & Risk Management Blake Hegeman, CAE, for earning his Certified Association Executive designation through the ASAE The Center for Association Leadership. This designation underscores Blake’s commitment to the highest standards of association management.

To be designated as a CAE, an applicant must have experience with nonprofit organization management, complete a minimum of 100 hours of specialized professional development, pass a stringent examination in association management, and pledge to uphold a code of ethics. To maintain the certification, individuals must undertake ongoing professional development and activities in association and nonprofit management. More than 4,600 association professionals currently hold the CAE credential. The CAE Program is accredited by the National Commission for Certifying Agencies (NCCA).

The CAE is recognized as the highest professional credential in the association industry, signifying a deep and sustained commitment to the field.

Ben previously served as Chief of Staff for Virginia State Sen. Adam Ebbin, leading the office in promoting housing affordability, transit funding and civil rights legislation. A native of Tennessee and a graduate of Auburn University, Ben also spent a decade working on and leading campaigns across six states and Washington D.C., from city council to the presidential level, while building a strong understanding of diverse political environments and grassroots advocacy. He resides in D.C. and is a loyal Tennessee Titans fan. Ben's favorite D.C. event is May's Embassy Day, through which he has visited dozens of countries. Welcome to , Ben!
