A residence we designed after the original structure was destroyed by the remnants of Hurricane Irene. Clients were closely attached to the site, and requested the new design be built on the original residence's location. To do so, we needed to ensure compliance with FEMA flood area directives which required the primary living space be on an elevated level. The lower level is skirted with break-away panels disguised as parts of the primary structure.

One of our mixed use projects (c. 2012-13). This time in Ludlow, Vermont. We undertook the renovation of an existing structure which suffered fire damage at the turn of the previous century. While the entire structure could not be fully renovated, we were able to commit to an interpretive renovation, while working to preserve key elements of the original structure as an homage to its history.

We are all influenced by events, and individuals. In architecture, this takes on additional impact as the result of such influence has the potential to further affect countless lives, now, and in the future. Lebbeus Woods was one of CV A's most jolting influences, and remains so to this day. One may not interpret that influence directly, or adopt it verbatim, but the inspirational impact may still inject influence on a design's direction.
