Today, we’re remembering Dolly Parton and an incredible legacy that reached far beyond music. 💗📚

Her passion for children’s literacy led her to create Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library in 1995, inspired by her own father’s inability to read and write. What started in her home county grew into an international effort that puts millions of books into the hands of young children every month.

At AWE Learning, we share a deep belief in the importance of giving children opportunities to read, learn, explore, and dream, which makes this part of Dolly’s legacy particularly meaningful to us.

Her impact will live on in generations of readers and in every child encouraged to believe that learning can take them somewhere extraordinary. 💕📖

At Wadena City Library, interactive learning is doing more than keeping young learners engaged.

Families who initially visit to use the library’s AWE Learning stations have gone on to apply for library cards, check out materials, and discover other resources throughout the library.

That got us thinking: Can the right technology actually help create a stronger connection between families and their library?
