A Well-Earned Congratulations 🎓

The other week, our team had the pleasure of celebrating Cara, Alyna, and Michael as they officially completed their Graduate degrees at Widener University. It was a bittersweet farwell, but we know they will continue to make an impact in the future.

We congratulate them on all their hard work the last year and show our appreciation to their dedication to our Center.

You all left a positive impact on the lives of our team and the entrepreneurs in our community! Thank you 💚

Our team had an incredible couple of days at the Pennsylvania Small Business Development Centers (SBDC) Growth Summit 👏

We attended some fantastic events to strengthen our work and got to collaborate with the wonderful team across the PASBDC network. We appreciate the sponsors and team for allowing us to share this wonderful time.

We congratulate our Center Director, Lenin Agudo, who was recognized for his work in helping clients obtain capital. Liliana Quintero and Tim Daniel were also part of showcasing their respective work with some of the network’s initiatives 🎯

We are grateful for the opportunity to be a part of this event and connect with the incredible people throughout the network!

A Bold Authentic Flavor, without the Allergies 🙌

After developing food allergies to soy and sesame, Nicole Gordon decided to take action. She founded NIKIGO, a food tech company dedicated to creating soy-free, allergy-friendly Asian sauces that deliver the same bold, authentic flavors she grew up loving. Her breakthrough came in the form of a mushroom-based soy substitute, with incredible flavor.

With support from the Widener University SBDC, she was able to Identify potential pitfalls, Navigate critical business decisions, and Finalize NIKIGO from concept to a commercial ready product 📦✅

Nicole continued to grow the brand, contract with a fulfillment center, establish product distribution channels, and generate strong interest at national trade shows. The company launched pre-orders for its first soy-free Asian sauce line, which recently just shipping to customers! 🎉

We congratulate Nicole for all the success and know that NIKIGO will continue to make a difference in our community.

On Tuesday, our Center had the honor of celebrating Lou Rodriguez, P.E. & Rodriguez Consulting as the 2026 SBA Eastern PA Entrepreneurial Success! 🎉

Lou is an incredible story of how having an entrepreneurial spirit can lead you to achieve your small business dreams. Joined by Steve Dixel, Michael Kane, and Sonia Smith from the SBA Eastern Pennsylvania District Office District Office, Lou was recognized for his journey from business idea to a functioning team of 40+ employees. The Rodriguez Consulting team welcomed us all with incredible energy; touring us through their building, where they have provided a multitude of civil engineering, land surveying, and workforce development services (Rodriguez University) for the City of Philadelphia Government.
