Today at Station 81 – Chester Fire Department, we were honored to welcome the runners of the 9/11 Promise Foundation – Team Chevron.

This incredible group, made up largely of veterans and military personnel, is carrying a powerful message of remembrance, sacrifice, and service. Through their journey, they are raising money to provide scholarships to the children of those who sacrifice for our communities and our country.

Their journey began at the 9/11 Pentagon Memorial in Washington, D.C., and will continue north to Ground Zero in New York City. With every mile, they carry with them the memory of those who were lost and the promise to never forget.

It was an honor to welcome them to Chester and to stand alongside those who continue to serve, remember, and give back.

We wish Team Chevron safe travels as they continue their journey to New York. May every mile serve as a reminder of the courage, sacrifice, and lives forever remembered from September 11, 2001.

We remember. We honor. We will never forget. 🇺🇸
