Job Title: Build Technician

Location: Chesterfield, MI
Required
• Able to use a tape measure.
• Basic understanding and use of power and hand tools.
• Basic math skills
• Ability to be on time.
• Able to work in a team environment.
• Able to lift approx. up to 50 (doors and wall panels require lifting during and after completion).
Preferred
• Knowledge of basic construction and/or sheet metal work.
• Use of hand and power tools.
Description:
After about 3 months of training - Construct insulated walk-in coolers / freezers and replacement component’s such as doors, floors, and panels.
• Read blueprints, drawings, or written specifications to determine sizes, material, required equipment, and operations sequences for doors and panels to be built.
• Verify dimensions and contours of panels during sheet metal forming processes, using measuring devices.
• Set up, operate, and adjust a variety of woodworking and metal working tools / machines to cut and shape sections & parts according to specifications.
Tools and machines used include:
Bandsaws, planers, routers, drill & punch presses, power brakes and shears to fabricate panels.
• Drill, countersink, and ream holes in parts and assemblies for bolts, screws, and other fasteners, using power tools.
• Fit, fasten, and assemble wood and metal parts together to form panels and doors using staples, screws, bolts, and other fasteners.
• Inspect and assemble products to verify conformance to specifications prior to crating for shipment.

Immediate openings! Starting pay $18.00 an hour. Learn a trade building walk in coolers for restaurants and bars. You'll learn woodworking and metalworking. Location Chesterfield, MI. Great hours!

Required
Understanding of tape measure and basic math.
Ability to be on time and work in a team environment.
Able to lift 50-75 lbs regularly when loading doors and panels into machines, on tables and into trucks.

Preferred
Knowledge of basic carpentry and or sheet metal work.
Experience reading blue prints.
