Client had water leaking into fireplace. We had custom stainless steel shoulder covers fabricated to address the issues. The vegetation growing out of mortar joint was a clear sign of water problems. Dark stains and moss are other indicators that you may have moisture entry.

Talk about a great 2 weeks! We started it out with an awesome "In-Person Installing and Troubleshooting Gas Hearth Appliances" class last week and followed up with a "2-Day C-DET Workshop" for dryer vents. Thanks again to everyone at Chimney Safety Institute of America for the amazing instruction and assistance!
