Despite the weather, Harvest Fest was a success!

Thank you to all the kids who stopped by to ask questions and grab some goodies, and to the parents who asked some of the tougher questions about how the fire service operates. We truly appreciate your interest and willingness to learn more. After all, we’re here for you! 🚒

We hope you’ll all join us at our place October 17th from 1-4 at our Touch-A-Truck & Open House.

Your Chesterfield Twp Fire Dept. has been busy lately, but never too busy to take the time to educate our youth!

Yesterday, our staff visited Chesterfield Elementary School to share important fire safety tips with students.

Even Sparky made a special appearance as we get ready for Fire Prevention Week!

FF Freda sent the students home with a little homework assignment. We hope they took it seriously and came home ready to talk with their parents about having a home evacuation plan, establishing a designated meeting spot, and the proper charging, storage, and disposal of lithium-ion batteries.

Fire safety starts at home, and sometimes the best way to get the conversation started is through the kids!

A big thank-you to Chesterfield Elementary School for welcoming us. We always enjoy the opportunity to connect with our community and help keep our youngest residents safe!

This morning we were happy to hold our first hands only CPR class at the Firehouse. After some light refreshments, Lieutenant Tilton taught Chesterfield Township residents the importance of quickly calling 9-1-1, basic First aid and how to properly perform CPR. These residents now have new skills that may one day help save a life.

We look forward to holding more of these classes in the future so please feel free to express interest in attending ([email protected]) and check back on our social media for future dates .

Thank you to all who attended.
