With earnest sincerity, thanks and prayers, I am happy to announce my retirement in the staffing industry after over 35 years. From starting at Source EDP on 8/6/1989, transferring to Source Consulting in 1992 to the merger with Kforce in 1999 and then beginning anew at Surrex Solutions Corporation in 2004 and finally starting Albert Consulting Group (ACG) on 8/31/2011. Today marks the end of Albert Consulting Group and onto my new chapter as a Decentralized Asset Master specializing in digital assets.
All Glory and Mercy goes to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ who paved the way each day of my career and my life. Christ gets all the credit and I humbly thank Him for His Mercy and Grace. He put in my path the most wonderful people who blessed me, my wife Rebecca and daughter Ashley. Speaking of my amazing Rebecca, I can’t say enough how instrumental and amazing she has been as a staffing professional spouse. There is no way you can be successful in staffing without the astonishing support of your spouse. Thank you, Lord, for the greatest blessing of my life who is my wife.
I would like to mention and humbly thank all those who helped me along the way, but that list would be so extensive. There are so many of you that were such an amazing blessing to me and my family. I’ll work backwards and mention these champions. First, Brenda Moore, who has been the best Operations Director for ACG but also a dear friend and sister-in-Christ to me and Rebecca. We truly wouldn’t have been as successful without Brenda’s love and dedication. Second, Frank Danzo, who was my awesome business coach, advisor and friend. Frank was instrumental to our success with ACG. Also, a dear friend, Jerry Heet, who was my client at Lucent Technologies back at Source and became like family to me and Rebecca along with his wife Tammy. Jerry served as my Chairman of the Board who aided me throughout my career and especially with ACG. Special mentions to those that made a huge difference to me with ACG were Mike Ellis (friend and colleague since Source EDP, and my President at Surrex), Mike as many would agree is the best staffing professional that I ever encountered. His outstanding stories and advice made a huge impact on me and my staffing career. Mark Garrett, my friend, and fellow colleague at Source Consulting, and fellow entrepreneur, and motivator who encouraged me to start ACG. Mark has always been a great friend and trusted advisor in business and my golf game. Also, many thanks to the late Kevin Gartenhaus whose kindness and willingness to help me get started at ACG, as a fellow entrepreneur and champion in the staffing business. Thank you, all!!
Client Champions who blessed me with their trust, their kindness and willingness to allow me to serve throughout my career. A dear friend who must be mentioned first and has been a huge blessing to both Rebecca and me is Luci Safarian-Schweitzer, who gave me the chance at Nestle Purina Pet Company (formally Ralston Purina) and when she moved to Mercy Health. Purina was my favorite client and what a joy it was to place so many in such a special environment where pets would come to work each day! I also enjoyed serving Mercy’s I.T. staffing needs and then Luci invited me to help staff those “Angels on Earth” that serve us all as patients. What a joy to serve those “Angels”! I can’t say enough about Luci and her husband David who are like family to both Rebecca and me. Thank you, Luci!
Next is Jim Miles, former Director of I.T. at Nordyne, a dear friend to me throughout my career. Jim and his wife Mary are also special friends of Rebecca and me. I’ll never forget the awesome kindness and caring friend that Jim was to me and Rebecca when faced with a non-compete cease and desist order from my previous employer in 2004. Jim came over to my house the next day with a letter he wrote on my behalf to assist me during that dark time. Jim knows I’ll never forget his kindness and friendship as we all know that true friends are there for you when the seas are the roughest. Thank you, Jim!
Angie McAllister, at Southwestern Bell Telephone Company/SBC was such a wonderful friend and angel to me. Serving Angie and her team, providing candidates with their I.T. staffing needs at SWBT/SBC was incredible and some of the best times I’ve had in the staffing business. Thank you, Angie!
Candidate Champions. To the many candidates that I served that God used me for His plan for you, it was a blessing to me to assist you and your families. You were the reason and the motivation each, and every day to make a difference in this world. I feel so blessed to be that conduit to assist in God’s plan for you. It was my greatest blessing to serve you all.
Colleague Champions. Staffing is and always will be a team sport. It was an honor to work with all you all. Staffing is one of the most challenging sales jobs and no one knew the challenges more than my fellow colleagues over the years. I have so many great memories and friendships from teaming up with you. Thank you, all!
Thank you to all those not mentioned that trusted me to serve their staffing needs. What an honor and privilege! I salute you all and wish you a very Happy & Health New Years, for years to come!
Much Love,
Rich
