And now, I’m married to a wife I didn’t know I needed. 🤠

How did that happen if all I wanted was to date casually after breaking out of toxic relationships and just wanting to have fun again, nothing serious?

If you’ve only known toxic women and stories, it’s easy to believe that all women are the same, and trusting them seems impossible.

Maybe (or pretty sure) it had to do with fully emancipating myself from my mother and father and their vision of who I should be.
Radical forgiveness —letting go of past hurts and breaking free from the pain that held me back.

The pain of deep loneliness, feeling betrayed by those you trusted, and the weight of constant emotional disconnection. For most men growing up today, raised primarily by women, it’s incredibly hard to free the wild man within.

That wild man is caged, and the mother often holds the metaphorical keys.

A clear break with the mother is necessary. Even the most primitive cultures understood this: for a boy to become a man, a father, a protector, a provider, he had to be taken from his mother, and the invisible cord that connected them had to be cut.

'For this reason, a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and the two will become one flesh.' (Ephesians 5:31)

So why marriage in today’s time? It's easy to swipe left after each conflict, right? Some even celebrate that freedom. But in reality, it’s creating familyless children, traumas, suicides, and a society under attack as the family unit falls apart.

The right woman challenges you, supports you, and builds a legacy with you. That’s why marriage matters—it’s not about the easy road; it’s about real growth and creating something lasting.

5 REASONS WHY YOU FALL FOR THE WRONG WOMAN (AGAIN)

1. You confuse lust for love – You're chasing what looks good, but never what feels right. Proverbs 31:30, "Charm is deceptive, and beauty is fleeting, but a woman who fears the Lord is to be praised."

2. You ignore your gut – Deep down you know the truth, she is not the one , but you can’t hear the truth. You gotta trust your instinct. Period.

3. You settle for what’s easy – Stop choosing comfort over growth. Iron sharpens iron; the right woman challenges you, not just cheers you on.

4. You’re stuck in old patterns – Same choices, same outcomes. If you want something different, you've gotta move different. Break the cycle.

5. You lack vision – "Where there is no vision, the people perish." (Proverbs 29:18). If you don't know where you're going, you’ll end up lost every time.

You are choosing from your wounding, and that’s why you keep attracting women who end up comforting you like a mother would her son.

Whether you didn’t get enough of her presence or her nurturing, you’re still looking for that comfort in the bodies of women, trying to fill something that can’t be given back.

Indigenous cultures understood this—they separated young boys and led them through rites of passage to become full men.

Men who learn not only how to protect and provide, but also that men can nurture too—just in a way that's different from a mother.

From this wounding, you’re choosing women to give you something only you can give yourself. By expanding beyond your past and stepping into the identity your Heavenly Father has for you, you’ll find what you’ve been missing.
