Are you getting feedback that “your idea is strong, but we’re not buying in”?

That is not always a deck problem.
Sometimes it is a delivery problem.

Because investors are not just buying the idea.
They are buying into you as the founder.

If you only have 30 seconds to 10 minutes, how you say it can matter more than what you say.

Here are the 4 steps we teach founders to make their pitch land:

🦚 Learn your voice
When you get nervous, your voice might go breathy, pitchy, shaky, or too fast. Build a sound you know how to return to.

🦚 Learn the vocal levers that get “yes”
Speed. Inflection. Volume. Resonance. These change how credible and engaging you sound.

🦚 Speech diagram your script
Decide where you pause. Decide which words matter. Decide what you want investors to remember.

🦚 Practice
Nerves show up for everyone. Nervous energy is still energy. Use it. Train it. Repeat it.

Quick question for you.
When you pitch, what shows up first?
Fast pace, higher pitch, breathiness, or shakiness?

If you want a step-by-step way to build a pitch that sounds like you and gets investor buy-in, check out Pitching for Entrepreneurs on our website.

You have so little time to make an impression in a pitch.

And here’s the thing.

How you say it matters. Sometimes more than what you’re saying. Because investors are buying into YOU.

Also, if you don’t get nervous… please tell me your secret 😅

Because nervous energy is energy. And energy is the life force of sound. So yes, you can use it!
