I was talking to my good friend the other day about being an outlier. He was telling me how other bowhunters used to judge him saying he was wasting time and energy running all these miles. They told him “you don’t need to do all of that to be a bowhunter”, “you don’t need to train like a professional athlete,” etc. What they didn’t understand about is that what makes him happy is outworking everyone else.
My biggest downfall in life used to be wanting to fit in. It almost cost me from finding my true self. Hopefully during this time of solitude and isolation you have found out what is most important to you in life.
A lot of people can’t handle watching other people succeed in life. In order to fit in, the successful ones will often “dim their light” so it doesn’t blind others. Never dim your light for anyone! If people can’t handle the fact that you go harder and further than most, f**k them! Be the person who succeeds because people want to see you fail!
Be you always...no matter what!
