But for children and adults with disabilities, technology is the lifeline they need to learn, compete and conquer.

Prior to having his iPad with TouchChat WordPower 42, 16-year old Luke struggled to share his thoughts. Two years later - with training and practice on his device - the very social young man participates confidently and comfortably in school AND when he participates in Home Depot’s “DIY” workshops.

Despite the countrywide pause due to the pandemic, children and adults with disabilities didn’t miss a beat because UCP Seguin’s Infinitec program ensured they had the resources, training and technology they needed to pursue a life without limits.

Dear friends - The uncertainty of a global pandemic raises a variety issues for our guests and chefs alike, so with an abundance of caution - and a very heavy heart, we are cancelling our 28th Annual Great Chefs Tasting Party scheduled for June 17th at the Sheraton Grand Chicago.

We've held this event for 27 years to raise funds to support programs and services that help people with disabilities live life to their fullest potential as valued members of their communities rather than a life of isolation. Strangely enough, we find ourselves in this position of isolation right now.

Covid-19 is stopping us from having our annual fundraising event, but it's not going to stop us from raising money so the people we serve can continue to thrive and live to their fullest potential. Over the coming days and weeks, we'll let you know how you can continue to support our mission as well as how you can support the AMAZING chefs who committed to our event this year.
