Should I boost one of my posts or create a Facebook ad? This age old dilemma (OK, maybe not THAT old) has caused decision fatigue for many an advertiser. But which is best?

Not so helpfully....they both have their place. Post Boosts generally are favored for an acute event, like a sale or in-store special. Created Ads often have more longevity and can be used for months or even years...perhaps turning it on or off with a recurring sale.

Helpful pro tip: Get the best of both worlds by creating a Boosted Post that SEEMS like it is short term (i.e. 'Order by Memorial Day for 20% off!'), but Boost it again the year after. You'll get to hit all of the same customers who liked it the previous year (and that you already paid for!), but the second time is often a whole lot cheaper and more effective.
